Israel is officially known as the State of Israel or the Republic of Israel. It is a country in the Middle East, on the southeast coast of the Mediterranean and the north coast of the Red Sea. It has a land boundary with Lebanon to the north. Northeastern syria Jordan in the east. The West Bank and Gaza territory of Palestine to the east and west respectively. And Egypt in the southwest Israel has a diverse landscape despite its relatively small area. Tel Aviv is the country's economic and technological center, the government's location and its declared capital is Jerusalem, despite its sovereignty.
